Audio stopped working on Phone.

Hey everybody. I just got this issue, and it's a big one, the speakers on the phone aren't working anymore. Just found out about 10 minutes ago and I'm sure it was working this morning. It seems as though that the phone recognizes that the headphone jack is plugged in. It'll say it's playing music but no sound from the speakers, but when I plug the earphone piece in, there's no problem. Tried taking it and out, restarting it a few times did not fix this issue.

I made a phone call on speaker and it did dial, so the speakerphone is working. What's going on?

power cycle the phone

this is a problem on HTC 8X as well

How do you power cycle, you mean let it drain? I tried soft resetting, I would like to avoid hard reset if possible.

Try restarting it with the headphones in.

@chadwilliams - tried it no avail. When I play music and unplug the headphone it must still recognize that the headphone jack is in because the music player continues! Typically it stops when you unplug it. **** I'm pissed. I've had this phone for about 2 months, love it, but this is a big issue.

Well it randomly started working again! Woohoo so happy.
