back button doesn't exit/close the apps

The back button on my Lumia 620 does not close the apps like Facebook, calendar anymore, it just takes me to start screen... And so I have to close apps from task manager by long pressing the back button.. Is there anyone facing the same problem??

Yeah it's been designed this way so apps you recently open would resume faster.
