Back up fail!

Ok so I have had to do a factory reset on my 820 dispite having had the back up data on since I have had the phone only a fraction of information has been backed up to my phone. I have lost pictures of kids birthdays old texts from my now deceased father and a host of other information where the hell is it all and can I access all the data that has been sent to the "cloud"

Go into messaging settings, make sure texts are set to sync "all time"
Go into OneDrive, all the photos should be uploaded to /Pictures/Camera Roll unless you turned it off.

Thanks for that, it has resolved the text message problem but the missing photos remain, I have always had auto upload switched on and am never far from WiFi everyday. I'm missing photos from June up to last week!!. It makes no sense.

If you browse your one drive online, are the pictures there? That should have happened independently of the backup process.

No they have been lost. They have not appeared on one drive either on my phone or pc. I'm gutted.
