Bad buttons new back cover

I recently bought a new back cover for my 920 on ebay and today I replaced. All went well, but the power and volume buttons don't 'click' on this cover. They look like they are closer to the side of the phone than on my old cover. I have to press hard to let them function. Is this a problem that could be caused by wrongly replacing the cover or is it a production fault? Is there something I can do about it?

Could you try swapping the buttons from your old cover into the new one?

Or try taking the back off again and then re-fit it, could just be slightly off fitting.
