My Band 2 band is breaking. It is less than a year old... going back to the store I bought it from...

It is breaking from the main using to wear it join the band itself

I wore it regularly. I was never off my wrist, no falls, no workouts, nothing out of the ordinary

Any one else with this issue?

Duct tape?

Help?

You can also get a full, no questions asked refund. I opted for that since a replacement will just tear again. Needs a recall, clearly a poor design choice that hasn't been remedied via a revision update. I'm actually disappointed they continue to sell them knowing they will fail eventually. Bold move.

Although you could get a new replacement, add Microsoft Complete and swap it for a Band 3 in the future. That's what my wife did (had Complete on the Band 1, it broke, walked out with a Band 2 at no cost).

I am worried this band2 is going to fall apart before the band 3 comes out....
Glad your wife got the replacement!

Agreed. Don't let anyone fool you here. Band 2 was a flop, both in performance and design. (enter the haters)

Foot note.

I got a replacement for free. The cost was my time. We have an MS store in my city but I could not call it directly, I had to call an MS call centre who originally offered me free shipping to get a new one. Since I could not call the myself directly (number takes you to call centre) the called the store and said I could go there and replace it.

Went to the store - had to get an appointment (30 minute wait). Got a new Band2. They did confirm it is a design flaw, but will keep on replacing them. I like the Band2 and hope the Band3 fixes this issue.

Thanks for all the input WP'ers!

Hello Mikepalma,

Yes, there are design flaws. But what are the performance flaws? This is my first 'smart' watch.

Thanks,
