How come that my band shows one number of steps, say 1200 and health app says only 500 ? Synchronizing looks like it is working, it fetches new data, but still show wrong number ?

what to do to make health app show same number as on band 2.

For me, it started right after I turned on the setting to also track steps with my phone. The issue went away as soon as I turned that setting off, so I'm fairly certain that was the culprit. Check by going to "My Phone" in the Health app and making sure it is on disabled. Would be nice if it worked, though!

Edit: Also, I just got an update for the Health app, wondering if it will fix anything.

Well, I had that setting to Count steps on my phone ON from the very start and it worked fine. I can try do turn it off and see if that will help. Now however I am checking other things like calories burn, and I see now bigger number on the Health app than on my Band 2. I somehow Think it should be the same....

Agreed, it should work either way. Bigger numbers in app than on Band 2 make sense if the app picks up additional info from the phone that the Band 2 missed. But lower numbers make no sense, obviously. It just so happens that for me the problem started and stopped immediately upon toggling that setting, so it's worth a try.

There was update for Microsoft Health on march 17th (yesterday) and I thought it was fixed because in the morning I hade same numbers of steps on band2 and on Health app, but by the end of the day, Health app was not keeping up the pace, having constantly lower number and differene incereased the more steps I took. I kinda find it strange or lets say not so hard to fix it since there are other band apps in the band store that actually can pull right numbers from the band 2 :)
BTW I am on 950XL .164 update

I have turned it off now and tracking it for few Days. Problem is not that big as it is with having phone motion data ON, but still it shows different numbers and I do not get it why ???

I don't use motion data from the phone, but I have noticed it showing a difference between Band and App once in a while. Always seems to resolve itself over time though. To be honest, the same thing happens with my Garmin watch and Garmin Connect (their phone app). I think the discrepancy is always a glitch on the app side, and like I said, it always seems to get straightened out eventually and is usually only a few hundred steps or less.
