Battery Drain issues [fixed]

Anyone having constant battery drain of 10%/ hour and higher, I think the new GDR3 update fixed it, sadly you will have to hard reset your devices.

After hard Resetting My Lumia 920, I have an idle time of 1% - 3% with almost everything running as usual battery now lasts more than a day and half.

My friends Lumia 925 hard reset as well, experiencing the same results.

Anyone with the developers preview, having issues, and wont mind loosing some data, should try this, and of course share his results.

Note: please know what you are doing. don't blame it on me if it didn't work, I only have two specimens, would like to gather more data.

i didn't have to do a hard reset on my 822 after the recent GDR3 update about a week ago
in a few days it went from 1 day 15 hrs. when it was fully charged, to 2 days 20 hrs. when fully charged
i don't use a battery meter app because they seem to drain the battery so i have no idea what the hourly discharge rate is
but seemed like it was learning how i used my phone and charges stay at a higher % longer.
an extra day and 5 hours at 100% compared to before ? i'll take it no matter how it happened.

Glad you said that. although mine didnt have the 1 day to begin with. my lumia 920 died within 7 - 10 hours, and i for most of the days, had to charge it 2 times a day (and loose most of the charge during night). now it just lives, i have now idea how.

It didn't fix anything for me. I have lumia 925. 15-20% discharge rate. I hope black might fix this.

I m on amber.. It lasts a bit longer but not because of the update.. It lasted 5hrs.. Now lasts 7 hrs. I don't think my 920 can give better results even after gdr3/black.. 20% discharge rate on average with constant use (weave,email,etc) with no background apps running. Its ok as long as i am at home.. But really get nervous when i see the battery % drop by 10 after a quick map session or a bing search.

You can run maps on 2G that will ease battery use.

820 with GDR3 here, the battery seems to be a bit better, around 10% improvement according to Battery Sense report (8% per hour to 7% per hour).
The battery of 820 still sucks though, don't expect miracle here.

My 920 improved way more than 10% I moved from 8 - 10 hours a day with lite use, to a full day easily. what I notice is that when the phone is not used, it barely consumes battery at all.

Usually if I have 3g or LTE on over night, I would wake up, late at work as my phone has died during. Now I sleep with 100% and wake up with 92 - 90%! that's amazing.

On my 1520 which comes out of the box with GDR3, the battery drained the first night that I owned it.(!)

After 6 hours of sleep (me not the phone), I awoke to see the phone warning of low battery with 5% remaining.

Hasn't happened again. Have a lot more apps on the phone now than the night the drain happened so I have no clue what the issue was.
