Battery Life

How is battery life for everyone? I have a regular hd7 and its far from great. With heavy usage i get probably less than 4 hours on a full charge. With battery saver on, and only using it rarely(like a phone call or text every 30 minutes or so) it might last about 8-9 hours. Is this what everyone else generally gets?

Similar to you. I carry a spare battery with me to the office or when i am out and about.

Believe you have a 1230mAh, just like the Surround. So you are only going to get about 4.5 hours of screen on (what they call talk time) out of a charge. That's assuming with the screen on you are doing some browsing, playing games, watching video, or other things that consume large amounts of data. Screen on is the biggest battery drain.

Changing the battery sucks on a Surround, so I have several USB portable chargers (Digipower) and use them with a 12" USB cable. Can walk around the house with phone/charger in one hand. So never out of juice or reach. And yes, I would have preferred an OEM extended battery, like the Trophy, but too late for that now.
