Aren't you a truck driver? I would think you could have it plugged in almost all the time.

At the same time I don't want to make it sound like the issue isn't important; it is. Keeping it plugged in is a workaround of sorts, not a fix.

There are times where I've got other things plugged in (navigation, tablet, second phone etc)...plus, I HATE workarounds...I like things to work as designed.

Same here! That's actually a big part of why I haven't fully embraced WP yet. I felt that I was using too many workarounds to do what I'm used to doing with iOS & Android.
