Battery Meter in 8.1

Hi, it has always been an annoyance that the battery meter updates on intervals. Most times, especially when actively using the phone, the battery meter via third party apps is incorrect. Will that be fixed in 8.1? I didn't hear anything about it. The battery live tile should be live.

You can always swipe down (action centre) and it will show you battery percentage. I will no longer use battery live tiles in windows phone 8.1 , the suck battery life.

You see the battery percentage when you go to the action center. Microsoft wanted to make their OS clean, and I think they did a nice job of showing useful stuff in a nice way.

I agree, and don't at the same time. Today, the battery meter, through a 3rd party is displayed on my lockscreen. I'm assuming with the battery improvements, I can add the battery meter though 8.1 directly. The question remains on the frequency of updates.
