I don't know what happen, if maybe an update may have caused my surface 2 to not charge any more. I never had a problem with the battery. All of a sudden the battery is completely dead and won't charge.

I bought the surface in Sept. Any one else having this problem? I keep current with all updates.

is the light coming when it connects to the surface 2? is the power adapter getting warm? and is the battery icon show that it is connected/charging?

The light is on for the cord. The power adapter not hot and icon is showing power connected/charging.

have you done any refreshes on the box, besides that from your description sounds like the battery died. I have a surface pro and I haven't had any issues with the battery. I have seen laptops where the battery just dies and I have seen laptops where it says connected not charging which simply meant the power cord wasn't the right one, or it was receiving enough power from the wall. I would suggest bringing it to a ms store or going through the ms website, their help has been pretty good. My guesstimate is its still less then a year old. I hope that helps, let me know if you have any questions.

I ended up going through the surface online service center. This must be a common problem with the battery. I selected through the questions, they said I need to send mine back for repair. They are going to send me a replacement right out. I'm sure it will be a refurb model, but none the less. Support like this is amazing. Can't find support this easy will.

The only question I have now is. How do I send mine back with out all my information on it?
