Hey lets begin with a soft reset by holding volume down + lock button at the same time until your phone vibrates and reboot itself(ignore the black screen to power off the phone ).

Sorry I meant reinstall, I know about and have tried to soft-restart. I did it one more time and it doesn't work. Can I have missed something else, something that have to be enabled...?

Are you launching battery saver app from your start screen ? Try the same by going into phone settings/battery.

Hello all, I have one question too regarding the battery saver:

when I go to settings->battery saver from the usage menu I can disable the battery saver from running in the background...

what, actually, does it do when the battery saver is enabled?I mean, disable the battery saver app when it is actually enabled?..

when its enabled (depending on your settings how its set to enabled ) it will try to block apps from running in the background which includes push notification , live tile refresh.

I'm sorry but you must have not understood my question.

Lets say that I enable the battery saver from inside the settings.
and my battery state of charge is below 20% so that battery saver is enabled
Now, I go inside the battery saver, and I drag to the right, and from the menu usage (where the apps-recent battery usage are listed) I select the battery saver app and I disable it from running in the background.
my question is:is it now running or not?isn't it wierd that it allows me to disable "itself"?

Maybe I provide a screenshot for this?

I got your question bud
if you turn off allow app to run in the background , this will block the app from running in the background where as if you still want an app to bypass battery save you can tap on Allow this app to run in the background even when battery saver is on.

Sorry to bother you again, have a look at the attachments please:

Please remember that we suppose that battery state of charge is below 20%(not 84% as it is displayed) so that battery saver is enabled
1st image:I turn the battery saver on
2nd image:I scroll right to usage
3rd image:I select the battery saver and I set it to NOT run in the background

My question is...will it run or not?because the settings at the 1st and 3rd image are contrary to each other. Thank you

Yes it will turn on the battery saver mode. If you disable battery saver mode in battery saver , it may disable the battery saver live tile to refresh battery status. Not completely sure but I tested out and battery saver mode was enabled as soon as I blocked battery saver mode. Lol this is getting bit tricky but your battery saver mode will always turn on if you have turned it on.(blocking battery saver does not have any impact ).

yes, probably it has something to do with the live tile. Or, it may stops the measurement it does on the other apps battery usage ("usage" submenu). When I have some tests myself I will reply. Thanks for your time once again
