Been toying with the idea of getting a 1520

Been 2 years since I last played with a WP and I'm bored with iOS and Android. But the posts about the 1520 dying too soon and other weird problems has given my pause about getting one. Is this an unreliable handset ? Is it running the current version of WP ? Does it have Cortana ? If I buy one it would be the AT&T version

I toyed with the idea as well until I finally got one. Had it about 2 weeks now. Love it. It has Cortana and current. I think you'll be safe getting one.

You gotta remember that most people join forums like this to look for solutions to issues that they are experiencing with their devices...the 1520, in this case. The other 90% of 1520 owners have no reason to look for solutions in forums because they aren't having any issues. I've had my 1520 since it was released, and I love it I had an issue with mine early on, but I was one of those 10% who came here looking for advice. I'm sure that you'll be happy with it if you get one.
It is not running Denim, but that will change soon.
It does have Cortana.
Are you an AT&T customer. If so, I'd suggest getting that version. AT&T catches a lot of flack from some people, but I've found that they are a very reliable company for my needs. I've had no problems with them.

Check the Market Place here; I think there are 3 or 4 AT&T versions for sale. The other option is to look at Swappa.com. The phones on that site are normally in good to excellent and at a fair price. Use eBay as a last resort if you don't find one here or on Swappa.

Also I done a thread called "reason I WONT buy a new windows phone" on here about an hour ago. And its all based on my 1520. Take a peek at that too but its all in a good way not a bad way. I love my 1520

I just reinvested in another 1520 because my last one broke. (its a fragile phone)

Definitely check Craigslist, I found one new in box for $250. Its still a flagship device.

I've got an AT&T red one....i love it....when I first got it,I did have problems with the screen going to search without hitting bug....but after afew hard resets its been fine...Ive had it for about 8 months

Get it. I just did and frankly I'm amazed at the quality, speed and batt life. Blows iPhone away on so many levels and the app gap, if that's a concern, is not so bad. Loving my beast (att yellow 16gb)

I got a green 1520 off ebay a few weeks ago and it is by far my favorite phone of all time. everything about it is the epitome of windows phone, and you will get used to the size.

Buying one has been put hold for a bit. Been really curious about the Moto 360 Smartwatch so I bought a Nexus 6 and a Moto 360 to see what all the fuss is about. But I will get back around to buying a 1520 shortly. I have a MS Band coming to and I want to see how the Cortana interaction works with it

well, the forums is for people who have issues with their device, so expect a lot of errors and such. 1520 is a monster phone, i have one myself and there is no other phone i possibly want.
