Best way to add music?

I tried the "companion app" but it froze up when I tried to create a new subfolder for an artist under the Music folder. What about Groove Music? Does it work like Zune where it automatically detects a new album when you add it to one of the folders you have it set to check for music?

I haven't tried to sync with Groove (don't even know if it's possible) but I use MusicBee since Windows 8 and it's pretty nice for ripping CDs and syncing my music with my Lumia
