I know its contract free. You'd have to see if its sim free.Sim free & Contract free?
What do you mean by "Sim free"? As far as I know all 521s sold through US retail stores like Best Buy, Target, Walmart, Radio Shack, etc come with a T-Mobile micro sim inside the plastic packaging and are locked to T-Mobile.Sim free & Contract free?

I wonder why they are doing this... could it be because the 525 is rumored to come out soon? Seems odd that nokia would replace a phone thats barely 4 mths old...
...So far I am loving it but I have a feeling that I will end up getting 925...

Took me less than 2 months to go from a 521 to a 925. The upgrades in hardware and features are very nice, but may be hard to justify for the budget conscious. For a "cheap" smartphone., the 521 really delivers.
it might take less than a week. Its not a budget issue... 10/22 event makes me hold on but also same time I feel like it will take months for T-Mobile to get a new device..,
