Bing Apps got it right

Bing finance, Bing weather and Bing news have the option to Update data only while on wifi. now i wish all apps have this option. In fact i think Microsoft should make it mandatory for app developers to include this option. This will cut down on data for those who don't have a huge data plan and also save some battery.
Now i wish CNN, Bloomberg, etc wil do the same.

It would work better as an option in the Windows Phone settings, so you wouldn't need to set it on every app. I think data plans will increase, making it a moot point.

It's already in the OS via either data sense or battery saver.

Yeah, it's too much to expect all developers to do this. If it's going to be a widespread option, it should be a global setting, not a per-app setting. Though I guess I can even foresee situations where that would be wrong.... I can promise you though, that you'll never get every developer to follow this plan.
