Bing trending news topics not updating

I have IE set to desktop mode and the Bing page pinned as a live tile to my start screen. The Bing home page updates readily enough (though sometimes need to open the app first), but the trending topics shown on the other side of the live tile are a month old. Is there any way to fix this without hard resetting my phone?
