Probably precursor to facial recognition and other scans that eliminate password usage. Saw it myself.

for new devices that could be unlocked by biometric ... I think. Eye scan, fingerprint ...etc...

I have seen a guy using facial recognition to unlock his computer and he almost didn't make it. You have to be at the same spot with the same expression....So to me, NOT GOOD
