That's interesting to see. I wonder what the next device will be that ends up having Bittersweet Shimmer.

leaks are flooding :D
low end to high end devices are running on Bittersweet Shimmer... Seems like Gdr3 is not far away.

I have a doubt. was WIFI and all were in center in GDR3?

I am sorry ... WHAT?! :D

Interesting in deed. But I wonder how our 520 will benedit from it. Software-wise there isnt much to expect except a rumored notification center or improved multitasking. Both is a nice to have, sure, but as far as I see it, GDR3 is mainly a driverupdate for 1080p and Quadcore (which the 520 wont get, that I am sure about ;) )

naah i think the placement of icons would be different in 8.1 update ;)

yesterday another leak came out from 920 and shows that battery percentage is also included in status bar in gdr3 :D

Screw the work on Shimmer. I'm still waiting for Amber on my unlocked, unbranded (country variant) 720!!! If they can't even manage to update the 720 country variant (they did roll-out Amber for the 520 country variant) then I wouldn't want Shimmer anytime soon. First deliver updates, then develop for the future (unless your software team is as big as the whole MS HQ in which case I condone of the current way of working).

Nice, they look like some really good improvements, I will admit, GDR 2/Amber isn't even on my device yet!

Its good news. Sadly in latest update by the leaker he says that GDR3 will be limited in few features for 520 :(

As it has been with GDR2.

Honestly I wouldnt know what to do with 3 mid size tiles in one row on a 4 inch / WVGA device anyway ;)

Other than rotation lock, GDR3 doesn't seem to be as important as GDR2, at least for me. But let's hope that it gets implemented quickly around the world.

Carriers gonna be all like 'oh we'll wait for GDR4'.
