Black Screen after hard reset on Samsung Ativ S WP GDR3!

Hey guys I really need some help here. I have a Samsung Ativ S with GDR3 installed but I decided to reset my phone and after It boots up again the phone is stuck on a black screen after that. What do I do what happened




please help !!!!!!!

If there is nothing I can do and calling customer service doesn't work if there someone in New Zealand that has either an old 8X,920 or Samsung Ativ S that I can have?? I'll gladly pay help!!

Same thing happend to me, try another hard reset from key combination and eventually you will get to the welcome screen. The method is described here

happened to mine as well, I had to hard reset around 10 times - either the screen went black or i could not login with my outlook account and i had the 8007049a error in the store.

I had to revert to GDR2 to have a functional device again

yea somethings wrong with my store. hey man how do you revert back to GDR2??

just flash a stock rom.

takes about 10 minutes, maybe 15 - procedure is straight forward

Another workaround is to hard reset and choose not to restore settings. You keep GDR3 but of course, you start from scratch with the phone.

How did you get rid of the 8007049a error? I have exacly the same error in the store same after a hard reset on GDR3.

I flashed my Phone back to GDR2 and did the update to the GDR3 Dev. Prev. (build 8.0.10521.155).
Now everything is working smooth.

I had the same problem today and removing the SD Card worked for me.

Edit: I have some news on this, don't hard reset your phone on the black screen just leave it and it will reboot and go into setup just fine. My guess is that it's just reinstalling the Samsung apps that ship on the phone :smile::sweaty:
