Blank screen problem

Hello,

I've purchased a lumia 535 (dual sim version) about three days ago. everything was fine for a while but then the screen turned black after a call and it never got back on. the phone works (i can call myself) but the screen is just blank.
the things i tried so far:
- restarting
- removing battery for a while
- using lumia recovery tool

I read on the net that it may be the proximity sensor getting dirt, i don't know where it is located but i tried to clean up the whole phone with no success.
any suggestions?

If it's new, take it back to the retailer for an exchange as it sounds like a faulty unit.

That's what i'm going to do. the problem is i installed DP and then reverted back using lumia recovery, i don't know if that voids my warranty or not

No it shouldn't, I wouldn't expect you to have any problems.

I shouldn't be asking here but for curiosity, how is the touch working after the "touch update"?

it hasn't been released yet so i don't really know. even the lumia recovery tool installs the "pre-touch update" version.
