Bloated Battery

I've switched over to a new phone about a month ago, but I wanted to get some stuff off of my old one, the Lumia 640. When I went to check it in the drawer, the battery pack was swollen, and the back of the phone has a come off as a result. Has anyone else have this happen to their Lumia 640? Is there a way to get buy a replacement that isn't too expensive?

I was just dumbfounded when I found it like that... It's just so funny looking.

It's a defect battery and needs to be replaced.

It can happen to just about any phone. Basically, do not use that battery and get it replaced.

Dispose of it/recycle safely.
