I turned on Bluetooth on my 640 XL and tried to use my Motorola S9 headphones.

It recognized them immediately ( as well as my Surface Tablet ) but will not pair up.

Any suggestions?

Seems to be, got blinking blue light. Phone was in pairing mode too. In advanced mode ( on the phone ) I put in 0000 for the pairing number which always worked before when something didn't pair right up. Don't know if I even have the manual anymore. Will look and see if I have a digital copy stored in Documents.

This is the first time the headphones didn't pair right up for me.

might not help in your case, but on my blue-tooth headphones the pairing only works from the off state, meaning from the off position, press the pairing button (which is the on/mute/action button on mine) for a few seconds then it connects. if the headphones are already on and I try the same it will not pair.

cheers

Thank you very much. Kept fiddling with it and finally got them to connect.

I hope since they finally figured it out that it won't be so difficult next time.
