With the recent death of Zune, I'm no longer able to sync up groove pass to my zune and use usb audio to play drm tracks. This was preferred to me because I could do voice searches for artists/tracks/playlists.
So this leaves me with bluetooth audio streaming. When i've streamed to my 2011 ford fusion the LCD simply says Bluetooth audio.
In my dads new 2015 focus with ford my touch it still shows only Bluetooth Audio, but now it also shows battery and cell reception.
Is it a limitation of bluetooth that audio name/track can't be displayed or just that that the "receiver" doesn't know what to look for etc. It seems like by now, there should be some kind of standard that would allow a a2dp receiver to display the name of the file playing or meta tags if it is a music file. I realize that support would also need to come from the app side, but that could easily be implemented.
