With 8.1 I was able to connect to my in car system and use my nokia 930 to speak the navigation's through the car speakers fine, simply pausing the music playback from the 930 also.

Yet with windows 10 a message appears on the car display saying call from cortana then a garbled voice says the directions, the music stops and doesn't restart, obviously this is impossible when the navigation's are every few seconds, the delay makes navigation useless.

Is there a setting in windows 10 mobile that sorts this.

I guess this is not happening to anyone else then

It is happening to me too. First you have to turn on Cortana and somewhere in there there is an option to have her read messages over Bluetooth. Once you get that set the messages will be read aloud. Now I need to figure out how to reply to text via voice.

Although I do not use a navigation app as you do, buy I do know first hand that Cortana is very unreliable over bluetooth using voice response.
