Brand new 735 with no auto adjustment brightness

Hi guys, 1st sorry for slappy English.
So here is the problem. I bought Lumia 735 and i'm facing some problem that drives me crazy.
I don't have auto adjustment brightness. Well, actually i got it but it won't turn on. I'm reading every similar topic but nothing is helping me so far
Whenever i turn auto adjustment on, i click back and check again it's OFF. In the notification bar it didn't exist. I got only medium/high, and when i click it again it's says high but is actually low. Mmmm, when I turn it manually from settings to low, i drop the notification bar and it says low, but when a click it again the "low" disappears and again there are only medium/high.

It's lumia 735 rm 1038, 8.1 update 2

Is this thing related to the other problem i'm facing. When i'm on fb/google, everything with white background, the displays auto dims like 15%. Then goes bright again, and so on...
I got none of this problems in L925, where i'm facing other issues.

I try so hard to be with WP, but i'm like really tired of reading forums about thousands of issues...
is this software/hardware issue nobody knows...
i tried turning on/off everything, double tap waking, battery savers, soft and hard resets, dancing around fire and so on...
The phone is 4 days old, but what i need to say to get new one? "This phone is bugged?" ... they will say be probably - "don't buy nokia then"
My girlfriend got same phone - no problems with that.

If you want me i can make some videos.
But... pls guys...can take this anymore.. i want my damn auto brightness! i want it all, and i want it now! (music)

p.s. i'm preeeety sure that after unboxing, before the updates i got the auto adjustment brightness working.

Since you're sure that the auto brightness feature worked before the update, have you tried re-installing the OS through either the Lumia Software Recovery Tool or the Windows Phone Recovery Tool with your phone connected to your PC?

I will raise this topic. Today morning I encountered the same problem with 730 (not brand new, I've been using it for almost 2 months). I can't really say what triggered the malfunction of autobrightness as I did not make any updates recently (except for Viber update which could not influence the autobrightness I suppose). However I do not face any problems with white backgorunds.
I made a couple of soft resets but it did not help. After reading your topic I changed my mind on making hard resets. Has anyone seen such behaviour of autobrightness?

Yes i couldnt change the auto brightness it just jumped back to low that i set it to

Did you try going under extras and displays and mess around with the options available there?

Well, hard reset did not help. I took out the battery and SD Card.Voila - autobrightness returned and I can't actually understand the connection here.

One day after - there is autobrightness but the screen does not go off during the phone calls. Seems to be a hardware problem

I've got same problem now. Everything worked great on 8.1.2, I updated to W10 and used it for few days and had no problem at all with automatic brightness.
Today I used WPRT to flash back to 8.1.2 and boom, there is no autobrightness. Only medium and high.
Triedmultiple soft and hard resets, reflashing phone, taking out battery and sd card, but same. I cannot believe that sensor died just like that, in the middle of flashing.
Have anyone found solution to this?
