broke usb port on my htx 8x

the middle part snapped off following a fall while tethered, is this economically fixable? thanks

You could find one at ebay but i think its hard to replace it on your own.Take it to your local store where you bought it if you have warranty or go to a third party mobile fixing shop....
Take a look to eBay so see how much 8X usb port cost...

My guess is that a shop will charge you at least $150 to replace it, assuming they will even offer to.

I just took a quick look on ebay, and you can get a HTC refurbished 8x for less than that.

I had this situation with my L710 went to mobile shop to fix it. They asked for $50 but at the end they messed up with my phone, broke proximity sensor, buttons were "fallen down". went there few times and finally my phone completely died (I think it was screen) Ended up buying new phone from them, of course for less price.. So, if you got warranty you better use that I think. Or you could try replace it yourself (find tutorial video on YouTube)
