If it works when you take the cover off, then buy a new cover. If it doesn't work, then I'm afraid the only port of call is Nokia Care, or a high street phone repair shop.

for broken volume button, how to change the volume setting . p/s my volume button is totally broken!

1)basically first you need to play a music.
2)screenlock your phone
3) unlock your phone
4) you can see the volume control appears on the top. quickly readjust your volume setting.

i used lumia 520, and windows phone 8.1 operating system.

I know this is almost 3 years later, I hated reading all the threads... but my u volume button broke. Everyone keeps saying basically were screwed. NOT AT ALL. Press your volume button, on your screen at the top it will show the number of your volume setting. Tap that bar and you will be able to swipe your volume. Simple fix. Happy Girl:winktongue:
