can anybody tell me what benefit Microsoft or google actually get from people using their browser over others?
and can we expect IE for android and ios as well?

Let me start off with the easy part. IE on Android and iOS? Not a chance.

Both have obvious benefits. First of all, if people use their browsers - and like them - there is a chance that more people will use their browser. If the browser is OS-specific, it may end up locking in users to that OS.
Of course, Google collects data, so...
