Buttons aren't working and frozen screen on HTC 8S?

Hi everyone.

I have had my HTC 8S for under a year now, and I have had no problems with it, until today. It has been working perfectly all day until about 3:15pm, when I had the messaging screen up. All of a sudden, the screen froze and I was unable to do anything. Then, all the buttons (lock button, both volume buttons, camera button, back button, home button and search button) wouldn't work, and the phone did nothing, and then proceeded to turn black (the screen). I have left it for a good 2-3 hours now, I have just plugged the charger in, and nothing has happened, except for the charging light has come on. Please help, as I am unable of what to do!

Try holding down the lock button and the volume down button together for 5-10 seconds. The phone should reboot.
