Left Verizon, moved to ATT and 950.
Immediately got the 10586.318 update.

Will miss the Icon for a minute.

So far, 950 is a great upgrade.

oddly enough, I did the exact same thing.............except I just shattered the screen on my 950, after 1 drop - I dropped my icon a ton of times, never a crack. Either way, have to send my 950 out for repair (200$) to fix it, and it takes 2 weeks - too bad the flagship Microsoft store in NYC couldn't repair the phone. IPhone users can make an appointment in any apple store, and have their screen replaced within 30 minutes, and it costs less...........oh well. I have since popped my AT&T sim card into my Icon again and am using it on a temporary basis (I wasn't expecting it to work, but it seems to be on H, H+ ATT network with no issues as of yet. I have noticed that W8.1 is indeed faster than WM10. On the same wifi, IE on 8.1 opened websites better, and was generally just as responsive on html targets. Transitions between apps, and home screen are also faster on 8.1, with lesser hardware. Not that they are slow or laggy on W10M, they are just faster on 8.1. All that being said, the advantages of 10 and UWA apps are far better.

Did the same thing 2 years ago. Verizon didn't seem to be ok board with Windows so I left after 10 years for T-Mobile. At least now I have options. T-Mobile gets a few windows phones and I can also go unlocked

Just did the same thing last Friday. The 950 is a decent phone with expandable memory, Hello, & a great screen.

It does lack that flagship phone feel like the Icon. The 950 feels more plasticky but 10586.318 runs great.

Cheers, Tepid. Enjoy being on a carrier that actually gives a crap about Windows users.

I'll be making the same jump once the Surface Phone rolls around.

I wanted to wait, but mother in laws iPhone took a dump. She wants a Windows Phone after playing with the wife's Icon. Getting her the 640XL, she hated the tiny iPhone. She will love this.

I like the feel of the 950.

The Icon is a great phone. But, I can tell you that so far, the 950, is an excellent upgrade.

Only had it a couple of days.
I did have stability issues at first, and this was due to restoring from backup.

Reloaded using recovery tool, did not restore from backup.
Phone runs smooth as glass, and all apps are running great.

Responding to this thread from WC apo right now. No issues.

Love my Icon, but glad I made the switch.

P.S. Running 14356.1000. No issues
