Camera grip stop working

Last night I charged my L1020 with the camera grip together as usual, but this morning I found my 1020 not booting(tried soft rest and it didn't respond, seems that the battery is 0%). Something odd is that when I plugged the wall charger in the camera grip, it didn't respond. When I pressed the battery button for 2 seconds, it flashed twice with 4 led on(the led flashes darker then usual, which is really odd). Anyone know what I can do now?

You may have overcharged your camera grip, damaging some internal circuits which prevent it from charging while discharging your L1020. You could try charging your L1020 first and once your L1020 is running, connect your Camera grip to the L1020 and see what happens.

At the very least, you may need to acquire a new camera grip since that is not covered by most warranties (since it is only an accessory). But I hope your L1020 would still boot up.

Tried charging them separately and it works all right. But I'm not able to charge them together.

That's good news - at least both of them are still working.

Probably the charging rate of the camera grip is different from the charging rate of the L1020, or that the charging rate of the camera grip is less than the discharge rate (the rate at which it supplies power to the L1020). If true, this negative net power input would cause the camera grip to eventually run out of power - once that happens, it will stop charging the L1020 and since it is still connected to the L1020 it will not be able to be power up and charged (its battery has to be charged first before it can charge the phone, but it cannot be charged since the phone is taking the power that should have been used to charge its battery first).

There's a fault with the USB connector on the grip. I had exactly the same problem and got my grip replaced by Nokia, it's quite a common occurrence.
