My son has an xbox one. Can I access my ms account via it? He has set up a gaming account( the one with an avatar) but it doesn't relate to my ms account, I think. I want to be able to play my music and films, and download and rent films and music, paying for them via my account? Is this possible?

Just sign into your account on the xbox and go to the Video or Music app. everything you have purchased should be there.

Yes anything that is purchased via the XBOX music or video apps should be available where-ever you can sign into your account.

Phone, Laptop, Desktop, Xbox, Web Browser etc.

I believe there is a device limit of 4 devices not including the Xbox for the music so in my case, desktop, laptop, surface and phone plus my Xbox One, and I think you have to specify each device although maybe not the Xbox.

If you are talking about local music (MP3 etc) just put the files on a USB stick and plug in around the back and use the media player, not as slick as Xbox music in looks but it works and that wouldn't be account related.

Let us know how you get on.
