Can I use Cortana to automatically dial my in car bluetooth unit

I have installed a portable Bluetooth unit in my car.
I would like to know if once my Lumia 435 has paired automatically, will I be able to use Cortana to dial my call through my Bluetooth unit?
Would I need to wake cortana, or would pushing the connection button on my unit wake my phone automatically?
