can i use my windows 7 key for a Windows 10 clean install?

i use an old Toshiba laptop which came with a genuine windows 7 home premium license. later, i removed windows 7 and installed Ubuntu. my question is, can i directly install windows 10 on this pc(without installing 7 and upgrading) and use my old license key from the sticker under the laptop?

No. You have to upgrade first.
