Can I use office 365 personal for 1 man business?
I asked two MS employees about this in chat service.
One said it's positive. The other was a little negative. So I am not sure.
I tried business model but it's too complicated for 1 person office.
It's for employees working in company. And I don't need exchange email.
Thanks.

WindowsCentral is not affiliated with Microsoft, so we cannot provide a definitive answer. You'd need to get a definitive answer from Microsoft.

What is a "One man business", a person who does window cleaning for cash, keeps his accounts in a simple spreadsheet, maybe types out an odd letter asking his bank manager to be kind to him this year, technically he is a "One man business" and "Should" declare a tax return.

I doubt any one would ever stop him using "Personal" and I would guess that many millions of people do this all the time.

Personally I wouldn't worry about it.

It is your account, you can use your office 365 personal account however you see fit. Since you are a one man company, you will have no problem. It is for the self employed who don't need more than 1 license after all.

I checked EULA. Personal model is for non commercial thing.
So I bought business model without exchange mail.
It's almost same price and supports 5 pc while personal is just 1pc.
MS people may come to my office to check license in the future. I should consider bad situation.:grincry:

Bad thing is onedrive for business.
It's terrible for personal use. Camera upload and selective sync feature are not available.
The reason that I wanted personal model is onedrive.
I want cheap 1TB cloud storage for personal and business.
Only onedrive can me happy but ODFB is not.

Yes you can. You can install it on up to two devices and you get 1TB (upgradeable to unlimited for free) of OneDrive space.

By commercial, they mean larger organizations that need 5, 10, or more users licenses. As your business grows and you start adding employees who all need to use Office then eventually getting the business version will make sense.
