Can you put a password on specific apps?

I'm strongly considering getting a Lumia 920 and trying out windows phone for the first time but I'm somewhat hesitant.

My question today is...is it possible to put passwords on and lockdown specific apps? I know you guys might not know if it's in wp8 yet but was this possible in wp7?

Sorta, you can use Kid's Corner to let other people just play games or maybe surf the internet. Some apps have it built in, like Lastpass and iKamasutra. What are you trying to do?

I just would want to block access to certain apps, most notably text messages when letting people use my phone.

Kid's Corner sounds like your best bet. Which will password protect a bunch of apps and media, though it is in a "what would you allow" format not "what would you disallow".
