Can your HTC One M8 scan barcode?

I tried all kinds of app, Bing Vision to other shopping and reward card apps out there and failed to snap even one bar code. Have you done it? Did it work? I am wondering if its not even functioning... or lack this basic feature.

I am pretty certain if you have a camera and a barcode scanning app Like QRbarcode reader you should be able to scan codes

Yes it can. I just scanned a random bar code and had no problems.

Bing Vision will scan QR codes, but not barcodes.

What app did you used to scan barcode? I failed with a few apps already. So weird.

Make sure your camera lens is clean... One big fingerprint will ruin just about anything.

The Walgreen's app has a barcode scanner for refilling scipts. I use it all the time so I know it works.
