Cannot add a new account in the Mail & Calendar app!

Hi there,

I am currently trying to add another mail account to the windows mail&calendar app. The thing is that when I try to click the "add new account" button, nothing happens. No error message. Nothing.
Same when I try via the windows settings app. So I tried resetting the app via the windows settings app and now my two existing mail accounts disappeared too. Can't add them either.

I am using a Surface Pro 4 with the latest public non-insider Windows 10 build (version 1709, build 16299.64) and the mail&calendar app is version 17.8700.40675.0

I really appreciate your support and help!

Run up command line in admin mode, then run these two instructions:

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

sfc /scannow

See if that helps.
 
Darn it. I'm not sure what to suggest. Perhaps try going to a local account on your PC, removing all Microsoft accounts, then add them again? That will wipe out your account though, so you might decide to reinstall Windows instead. You could go back to your last system image and see if that had the fault?
