Cannot send pictures with what's app on lumia 620

i'm having trouble sending pictures with what's app or attach them in mails with my nokia lumia 620. When i take a picture, it goes into the file "camera roll"...How will it save normally? and how can i send them with what's app and mail?

It saves in the camera roll.

In whatsapp you hit the attach button, select picture and navigate to the camera roll folder.

The same applies for emails.

Thank you for your reply. But it doesn't send them. And if i try again it just gives me a black screen. Also, if i turn the phone off i loose all the pictures i recently took, which means that it doesn't save them. I do have a memory card inserted.
