Cannot shut 8.1 phone off. Always reboots.

I wanted to shut my 1020 off for the night since I too am having charging/heat issues. It refuses to stay 'off'

Screen will go blank, 3 seconds later it starts booting up again.

Anyone else have this issue?

have you tried a soft reset?

Yup, same results. reboots right away.

I actually had that problem on WP8 on my 1020 and its now gone away with 8.1.

Had to resort to a hard reset. blech.
It now shuts down and stays off.
