Can't connect to IM

Hi, ever since i last updated the Skype software on my HTC 8X i cannot login to facebook messaging no matter what solution i try from the internet. Tried all of them, none works. Although when i uninstall skype the problem seems to go away and the messenger resumes working as normal. :crying:

How do i fix this? I use both Skype and messenger so simply not using Skype anymore is not an option. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!
