Can't copy files from SD card back to PC, stuck at "calculating time remaining to copy files" msg

I had no problem at all copying mp3s to my Nokia Lumia 521's SD card, but it just will not let me copy them or any other files from the card back to my PC.....every time I try it gets stuck at a "calculating time required to copy files" message or something like that. Doesn't matter if I'm trying to move 100 songs or 1, same thing. I am using an older PC ATM, running XP, but I don't see how that matters...It recognizes my phone fine & like I said is able to copy anything from my PC to the phone with no problem, but not back to the PC which is kinda ridiculous

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance

Does your PC have more than one USB connection, try different one? Have you tried a different USB cable?
How about just powering on/off the phone itself?
