can't delete photos from phone connected to PC

I updated my Lumia 930 yesterday and running Windows 10 now.

Today I was browsing on a PC photos stored on a phone connected to that PC.
I tried to delete a photo but I always get message "The device has either stopped responding or is disconnected".

check using a different USB cable or USB port - you can also delete from the phone itself using the file explorer app

checked different computers and different cables - still the same issue.
and yes - I know that I can delete from the phone itself but that is not the point here.
the problem is that I am not able to do it from PC what has been possible in WP8.1

never seen this issue before: What OS version are you on? MS just released a new update today - 10586.494. Try that out and revert. Also check for app updates
