Can't edit forwarded email?

I tried to forward an email and add a few comments to what was written in that email, however I could not edit anything below the forwarded line. I had to write everything at the top. Is there a way to change this? Every other phone Ive been able to do this. This was on a Lumia 920.

same issue here. It is as of that portion of the email is locked, and can't be edited. Strange??

Yes, indeed very strange.

I agree. Ive been able to do this on every other platform. Not sure if this is something along with everything else I'm finding will ever get addressed.

....i know :-( i love the phone and os, but there are little things, especially related to "business" use that are a killer (calendar is rudimentary at best, can't attach .doc in email directly, can't edit forwarded email, can't save/add a contact from a call history, .....); although, I have to admit - integration with SharePoint is great and for me very useful.....

SharePoint can Die and Burn, but darned if I don't need to forward an email with parts removed all the time.

Yeah definitely not good....often in business there are things you do not want to forward for political reasons or confidentiality...
What I normally do is just copy and paste in a new email...
Needs to be fixed though...no excuse for this

Portico did not fix this unfortunately. For me this was a very big short coming of WP.

This is not fixed in WP8.1. It was the reason I gave up on WP and not coming back until this is fixed.

Agreed. This is an unacceptable issue and is why I moved from Windows Phone to iPhone.
