Can't find anyone online in Modern Warfare

Every time I go online in Modern Warfare, I can only find maybe 6 people at most and they are only playing the Team Deathmatch gametype. Has anyone else noticed this? I'm wondering if it is a server problem or maybe that's the only gametype people are playing? Surely there has to be more than SIX people playing in the world.
