can't install app from Windows phone app studio

I am trying to install one of my apps for the app studio and it is a .appx file type now. when I try to install it, it says " you need to install an app for this task. What you like to search for one in the store".
Ok I am lost here I click yes and it says there is no app. So how do i install an app from the studio??
I tried to sideload it on my pc but It is looking for an xap file not .appx soooooo I am really lost now

The Windows Phone 8.1 Deployer works with appx. Do you use an old version?

i have same problem and i can't install Certificate (aet.AETX)
my phone show msg "add workplace account?"

Hi everybody, i think this is a common problem now, but i have a solution for you.

1- First go h t t p : //appstudio.windows.com/Job/GetAet
you will download the AET.aetx file, this is the file container, for app studio's certified.

2- copy this file and paste inside your documents phone.
3- browser inside your phone with any folder management app.
4- choose the file and open it.
Finish.

After you do this, try again with your app link from appstudio.
