Can't make or take calls

Now that I have connected my Band to my Android Samsung S4 via Bluetooth (running 4.4.2 soon to move to Loly), when a call comes in I hit answer but I can not hear the caller nor can they hear me (Yes, the line is open). The same goes for when I am making a call. Have I missed a setting? How can I keep my band connected and also a bluetooth headset and or to be able to take/make calls?

Is this on the phone, the Headset, or are you expecting to be able to make/take calls on the band?
