Can't play Battlefield anymore after anniversary update

So I'm wondering if anybody else who's installed the anniversary update is able to still play Battlefield 4, and if so did you have to do anything to make it work?

When I try to join a game, it will keep me in the queue if necessary, then switch to "Joining server" and then at some point after that I get a "Battlefield.exe has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution" error. It seems to be right when it joins the server that the crash happens.

I've rebooted my machine and checked for more updates. I've also checked for updates on Battlefield 4 and Repaired the game. I was hopeful the repair would do the trick, but I still get the same error.

have you checked that your network is okay? Is it possible to play offline?

Network is fine. If by "offline" you mean play the campaign, I get the same crash. Not sure if the campaign is offline though.
