Carkit outgoing calls

Hi all,

I have a nokia 1020 which connects to my bluetooth carkit.
My contacts and incoming calls work fine.
But when I try to make outgoing calls, I can select a contact on my carkit, but to call them, I have to select them on my phone.

This happens when the phone is locked (glance screen is on/off).
When my phone is unlocked, it works fine. So seems that the lock-screen prevents my carkit from making outgoing calls.
Is this some setting in my phone or what am I doing wrong?

A couple of colleague experience the same with different carkits.

I believe there is an app called car mode or something that will assist with this. I don't use this but I have my phone to never lock/time out to lock. I always have to manually lock my phone by press the button. I prefer it better this way.

Thanks for the reply.
The app isn't really what I'm looking for.
It allows you to add 5 or 6 contacts in the app for quick dial.
Since this is for business, we need to call all our customers, not just 5.

I noticed the carkit won't call neither wether the phone is on or locked.
It does call when I select a contact directly on the phone.

We really need this fixed. The GDR3 update still isn't available for our devices (Vodafone - Dutch)

The cars we're talking about are for example a Chevrolet Volt and Opel Ampera.

I've recently installed the Black update.
Now everything works OK with all different cars here.

So problem solved.
